2008 IT Salaries

CIO magazine had an article published in 2007 that tried to predict the salary levels of various IT professionals in 2008. They claimed that IT salaries would rise twice as fast as inflation (i.e. 5.3% average). Link to article

I'm having a tough time believing some of the stats in this article.
Now that 2008 has begun and talks about a recession emerging do most IT professionals expect a decent bonus this year? How is the job market perception for 2008 and beyond?

The biggest salary increases (7%+) according to this survey will be going to application and web developers, database administrators, and network managers. Bonuses also ranged from 5-10%.

I'd love to see what the actual 2008 numbers look like when it's all said and done.
